💡 LTRAD – Smart Lighting and Environmental Monitoring
LTRAD (Lightning Technical Replacement Aerial Device) is an innovative system for managing public lighting, designed to make cities safer, more sustainable, and more efficient.
Each streetlamp is equipped with an advanced SEN55 sensor, capable of detecting malfunctions in real time and transmitting environmental data such as:
- Particulate Matter: PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10
- Temperature and Relative Humidity
- VOC and NOx Index
The collected data is transmitted using LoRa technology, enabling long-range and low-power wireless communication, ideal for distributed urban environments.
This system enables:
- Automatic fault detection and lamp replacement
- Continuous urban air quality monitoring
- Seamless integration with smart city infrastructures
Faulty lamps are efficiently replaced using a dedicated automated mechanism—potentially involving drones for rapid intervention.
